Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
Bankruptcy Eligibility
My son has extensive medical expenses from a brain operation. He was unemployed at the time of his injury and operation. He has an IRA and is receiving both social security and civil service disability payments. (He may also have his medical insurance reinstated thus possibly covering his medical expenses.) He is not likely to ever be employable again. Given his disability income and IRA would he be eligible for bankruptcy to discharge his medical expenses since he has disability income?
