I filled for bankruptcy and i put an apartment on my case. I know having problems finding a apartment because this happen. I was wondering were there any laws to protect me

Certainly your lawyer explained this to you before you filed.
Your bankruptcy will be on your credit history for 10 years (and your experience with your landlord can be there 7 years). During that time, creditors, including landlords, are free to consider that in evaluating whether to do business with you.
