Bankruptcy on IRS 1998 taxes

I filed bankruptcy, Chapter 7 and was discharged on January 31, 2002. I filed my 1998 taxes on October 15, 1999. This debt was included in the discharge. I still receive notices from the IRS regarding 1998. Is this not covered in the bankruptcy?

Although I'd have to see your paperwork to be sure, from the dates you gave it sounds like your debt was not discharged (your case filing was likely less than 3 years from when your return was filed). Ask your lawyer to be sure.
