Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Bankruptcy options

My husband and I own a corporation from which we opened a coffee shop. Due to the economy, the store is not going to make it. We barely make payroll. Being a Small business, our home was put up as collateral for the loan. If we file bankruptcy, do we have a chance at keeping our home? We want to pay our bills, but the corporation is running out of money. Please help!

Re: Bankruptcy options

Dependinng on information we do not have, you may be able to keep your home (or may not be able to do so). It is important that you sit down with a bankruptcy lawyer soon to discuss details. If you meet with us, we'd have you first complete a free worksheet from www.glenashman.com so we would have the needed information.

See a bankruptcy lawyer who also handles business issues, as it will be important to handle both the business and personal issues correctly. Your questions can't be answered with 2-3 sentences of information.
