Bankruptcy state?
My son is in the military and not stationed at home. His home of record (where he files income taxes) is Ga. He is at a base in California. Which state does he file bankruptcy in?

In all likelihood, in CA. The easy way to find out is for him to call a Bankruptcy lawyer out there and ask.

Possibly either, based on facts we don't have. Georgia could be used as it is the legal residence. California may get used by being the actual one. The answer really requires a detailed consultation with a lawyer.
