Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
cahnging attorneys
I have filed a cahpter 13 case and would like to convert it to a chapter 7. I dont like to attorney that I used because he entered a agreement with my mortgage company that I will pay $1293.00 at the first of the month and $1000.00 in the middle of the month. After my chapter 13 payments I only bring home $1600.00 per month. I tried to explain to him that the two payments that my mortgage company said that I had not paid, I did pay. I could not prove it. They said that I was missing six and I could only prove four. I cant pay $2293.00 per month and only bring home $1600.00. Can I use another attorney or what should I do? I need help please!

All these matters, including your desire to convert and possibly get a new lawyer, need to be discussed directly with your current lawyer. Keep in mind that you will have to pay another fee to the new lawyer.
