Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

getting car after / during bankruptcy

I am starting to file bankruptcy. I was told by a friend that their lawyer gave them a form to get a car from a local auto dealer on some program for people in my situation. She said the form was called an SR22 she thought but I cant find anything about it. Could this be something from the dealer or is it a program through the bankruptcy people?

"Friends" do not provide reliable bankruptcy advice (unless they are bankruptcy lawyers). When you see a lawyer to start the Bankruptcy process, he/she will review all details, including your vehicle situation.

An SR22 has to do with proof of insurance, and has nothing to do with bankruptcy.

If you're thinking of filing a bankruptcy, you may in some cases be eligible to buy a car. IF we handle the case for you, I'd be glad to advise you.
