Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Hi, my chapter 7 was discharged 1 year ago,but I filed a reaffirmation agreement for some furniture for $800 the same value (not less) I didnt know I could use the lesser current market value. The lender, a small company, filed also for bankruptcy n got his debts discharged according to a close friend of mine who works for him. He advised me to stop paying him I also ran a background check on him n that confirms the filing. Can he still collect this debt even if he received a discharge from the court? Can he sue me if I dont pay him anymore? Please help. Thank you.

I am not understanding why you are not asking this to your lawyer from your case, but assuming the reaffirmation was filed, yes you must pay and his bankruptcy has no effect on you having to pay. The fact that you negotiated what you now feel is a bad deal is irrelevant.
