Chapter 7
If you have recently had a Chapter 13 case paid out and discharged, does that prevent someone from filing a Chapter 7 within a certain amount of time? Thanks in advance...

You say "discharged" which implies you got rid of debts in the 13 and did not pay them in full. Without knowing the dates, there is no way to answer your question, but you will have a period of time before you could refile.

Yes, unless the Chapter 13 was filed more than six years ago, you paid 100% of your claims (or 70% if the court finds it was your "best effort). In short, "it depends."
