Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
I have several credit card accounts that have been placed with an out of state collection agency. I have been trying to get them to reduce the amount that I owe them by 50% but I am not having no success. Each of these accounts have balances less than $2500.00 Some of these collection agencies are saying that they are going to sue me if the entire amount is not paid. What are the chances of them actually sueing me considering the balances are relitively small

You are asking for a guess. Some sue, some do not. For those amounts, you are well off in the long run to work on paying them off as you can. You did not say what you offered, but most collectors and creditor will consider a significant reduction only when you offer an immediate lump sum payment for the reduced amount.
