When filing bankruptcy are there any assets you are allowed to keep. Specifically IRA or Life insurance?

Re: exemptions
Under federal and Ohio law, IRA's and death proceeds from insurance policies are exempt. You may only exempt up to $400 of cash value of the policy, however.
