Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
My ex-husband of 5 years is going to file bankruptcy, and he still has a credit card that I am an authorized user on. The divorce decree states the ownership of the card as his and I have not used the card in 7 years. What liability would I have and would the creditors come after me?

You have the same liability as if the divorce decree had never been entered, whatever that may be. That only resolves issues between you and the ex - not between you and the creditor. If he can't pay, and you are liable, they certainly may come after you. Authorized users often have liability.

If you're an authorized user, you won't be liable. If you're a co-signer, you are.
