What federal income taxes can be declared?

We owe heavy credit card debt and back federal income taxes only. Are any part of back federal taxes eligible under bankruptcy law?

Yes but there are some qualifications and you need to have a lawyer look carefully at your situation before you file. for example, you must have filed tax returns for the years you want to discharge and the taxes must be at least 3 years overdue.
