Should and How can i file bankruptcy

I have alot of medical bills and some charges on my credit what is the best way to file chapter 7 or 13.some are real old debts. I even have a credit card on there but it is not in my name I was just a authorized user. Is it expensive to file?

The "best way" to file is to see a lawyer in you area who specializes in bankruptcy. He/she can answer your questions after you fill in many additional facts. As for cost, it is a professional service - you normally get what you pay for.
