Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
When can one file bankruptcy?
We are not behind, yet, in our mortgage, c.cards, etc., but that is around the corner. Do you have to be behind in payments before you file? I will be talking w/an attorney this week but thought I'd ask

Re: When can one file bankruptcy?
You have the broadest range of options starting a bankruptcy before your problems are too severe. At that time you may have more options - including not filing or more things you can do to better plan a filing - than you may have later.
My office has handled bankruptcies for 26 years and has some of the most reasonable fees in the area. Should you want to talk further with us, we have a free packet at www.glenashman.com and would be glad to review your completed packet at no charge if you're in metro Atlanta.

That is one of many questions that you will discuss with the attorney you have already scheduled. He/she will also have a worksheet, as will every other bankruptcy lawyer.
