Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
Can I file bankruptcy on an owner financed home and still keep my home
2 Answers from Attorneys
Maybe, maybe not. Can you pay for it? You left out that important detail (and every other fact). You also don't file for bankruptcy "on a debt" or"on a house." YOU file a bankruptcy petition and with you goes all of your assets and all of your debts. How they are all treated depends on many more facts. If bankruptcy is an option, see a bankruptcy lawyer in your area.
Maybe. It depends on information you didn't give including your income, the equity in the home, your expenses, your other debts, if you are current, etc. Many people do keep homes.
