Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
I am about to file bankruptcy and I have a small business. Am I allowed to discharge both my personal debt and my business debt in a chapter 7?

Generally, if a person files Chapter 7, it discharges all personal unsecured debt, including guaranteed business debt - though there are exceptions. If the business is a separate corporation or LLC, creditors can still pursue the business for its debt, unless it too files. See a bankruptcy lawyer to discuss your specific facts.
Generally the answer is yes, assuming the business is not a separate corporation. If the business is a separate entity, only debts you personally guaranteed or are liable for by statute would be personal problems for you.
I'd be happy to review both your personal and business numbers and determine if a chapter 7 is appropriate for you (and also if you have other options).
