Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
I'm over my head in credit debt, foreclosure, and one sumons of a law suit against me... should i file for chapter 7? it's been over 10 years, will it lapse and everything clear on its own or will it still affect me and my credit score. thanks, eric

It isn't that simple as saying you should file. You may or may not qualify for Ch. 7. It has been 10 years since what? Of course, Chapter 7 will affect your credit score (unless you are at or near rock bottom anyway). The best way to see if bankruptcy is a good option is to see a bankruptcy lawyer in your area.
