Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Hello,\nMy name is Quincy Pike. I have a truck i pay the car note and insurance. My name is on the registration and financial contract, i needed a co signer so there are two names on the truck. After three years my co signer is filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy...She lives in dekalb co and i live in fulton co (30331) I received notice in the mail of her filing.What does that mean for me? What should I do?

The answer depends on what she filed, so without seeing her filing there is no way to answer you. Make an apoointment with a lawyer quickly to review her filing and see how it impacts the car. In some cases you could lose the car but be liable to pay for it. In some cases, with proper steps, you could be fine.
