Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
If a husband files bankruptcy and he is the policy holder for his family on their insurance, does this cover any medical bills outstanding in the wife name also ? She is not listed on the bankruptcy.

If you want a discharge of your debts (including joint debt), you will need to file bankruptcy yourself. The person who owns the insurance policy has nothing to do with it.
To discharge debts, a person has to be part of the bankruptcy. The insurance is irrelevant.
