Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
Landlord Bankruptcy
Landlord is currently filing for bankruptcy in Marietta. There is a 12 month signed leased between the tenant and the landlord. The tenant is being asked to leave because of the bankruptcy. How much notice is the landlord required to give to the tenant for termination of the lease if the time frame is not stated in the lease? Can the tenant sue the landlord for asking them to leave?

Re: Landlord Bankruptcy
The tenant cannot sue the landlord if there is a bankruptcy. As for how much notice and time you have, that cannot be answered without a review of the bankruptcy case file. The lease may be completely irrelevant to the answer.
