Unless you personally hired a new lawyer, you don't have one now. No one assigns you a new lawyer, unless it is in the same firm. In your case, the firm closed months ago. You chose to not tell us what the "bothersome" mail says, but the best thing you can do now is call a couple consumer Bankruptcy lawyers in your area and discuss the situation. Assuming you speak with a lawyer who regularly handles BR cases, they will know the situation. If they can't help you, try again.
Unless you hired new counsel you don't have any. Feel free to call me with detailed information. 404-768-3509
