Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
I live in GA and I have excellent credit. If I marry someone who has filed bankruptcy and has already had meeting of creditors but the bankruptcy will not be discharged for another 45 days or so, will this affect my credit personally. Is it better to wait until after discharge date? I understand it may come up on any joint applications, just want to make sure it doesn't reflect on my personal credit.

The bankruptcy should have no effect on you as long as you are not on their debts, assets or bank accounts, and you don't seek credit together.
