Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
Order of dismissal
I am a creditor to a guy who filed for Chapter 13. I just received the Order for Dismissal because the debtor is in material default. Does this mean my lein on his property is still good?

Re: Order of dismissal
A dismissal usually means things go back to the same status they had before the filing. There are exceptions. Whether YOUR lien is "still good" or was ever good, would require reviewing the documents and all facts.
Re: Order of dismissal
You haven't posted enough information to answer. I'd need to know what the lien was for, whether the lien was avaoided in the bankruptcy, the age of the lien, the nature of the debt, what payments were made in the Chapter 13, etc. You need to bring all this information to a lawyer.
