Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

i ordered and paid for 5 bridesmaid dresses through this business and now the business is filing chapter 7 bankruptcy. Is there anything i can do to get my money back?

Chapter 7 usually will be bad news as often people don't get paid. You will want to file a proof of claim in case there is a distribution, and you may want to have a lawyer look at the schedules and then file a claim just so you get it right, and the fee for that likely would be small. But sometimes you may get lucky if there are enough assets to pay creditors.

You cannot do anything to the company outside of the chapter 7 case as the law forbids that.
