Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
I sold a home two years ago. The sale closed four days before I went to court and filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. Now my credit report lists my mortgage as being included in the bankruptcy. Why would this be since I had paid the mortgage and had no debt with the bank to discharge?
I would think that the credit report should show that the mortgage was paid as agreed.

No one here knows the time line of when the lender as paid (which may not be the closing date) and guesses won't help you. If you don't think your credit report is correct, dispute the entry (with documents to back it up).

Why are you asking here and not calling your bankruptcy lawyer who would know the timeline and be able to answer this question?
