Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia
i sought to file bankruptcy, filled out and signed paper work with an attorney but now want to change attorneys, i did not pay this one anything. can i do that

Yes. You have two practical problems however. One is that you owe a debt to the first lawyer. The second is whether a second lawyer would aree to take a case where you failed to pay the previous lawyer.
If you decide to use the second lawyer, you need to notify the first lawyer before you begin talking with the second lawyer. Did you already sign an attorney-client agreement with the first? If so, then you have already agreed to use them, you would need to discuss with them whether they would let you off the hook for the fees. They may want fees for the time already spent on your case.
