Is there a statute of limitations once you file either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13?

A chapter 7 case can only be filed once every 6 years. This is the law today. After October 17, 2005 it changes to once every 8 years. The filing of multiple chapter 13 cases can be challenged by trustees and the Bankruptcy Court itself. Usually, a Bankruptcy Court will only allow 3 cases filed before objecting to any additional cases citing abuse of process.
