Is it true that a credit counseling course must be taken 180 prior to filing for bankruptcy in Georgia?

In almost all cases, yes. (There are a handful of exceptions that do not apply to most filers). The failure to take a course, and it must be one approved by the court, usually results in dismissal of the case.
