How much does an actor or actress get paid from the DVD of the show they were acting in?

That depends upon their contract with the producer. Many performers are members of unions which have contracts with studios that set minimum compensation levels. But actors and actresses with significant roles often have their own contracts that call for higher compensation. And some productions -- especially those produced overseas -- are not covered by union contracts.
