Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Hi, I'm Bill Baker (fake name for the sake of example) and I am an artist with a registered DBA in Georgia under my artist name Big Bill (example). The question is, can i sell my art and services under the domain name www.BillCity.com with a banner at the home site that says "Welcome to Bill City" or does everything including domain have to be exactly Big Bill (my DBA) and nothing else?

You may need to register Bill City as well, but I would need to know more facts to provide a more definite answer. The idea behind requiring registration of a trade name is so that customers will know who they are conducting business with.
