Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Breach of Contract
I paid a contractor for basement finish which he did not complete. We have come to a payment agreement. If he does not pay can I use my promisory note to place a lein on his property? Should I just file suit.

No. You would have to sue him, get a judgment and then place the appropriate lien.
