Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Business lease contract and total disability
I am currently in a 3 year business lease (office space) of which I have met only 10 months. I have been declared 100% disabled by my physician and can no longer work. Can I legally break this contract due to my circumstances? FYI I have filed for VA compensation as well as SSDI.

Re: Business lease contract and total disability
You would need to look to the terms of the lease to determine whether you have any rights to terminate due to disability. Such a term would be uncommon, but there's no way to know what the terms of your lease are without reviewing it. You should have a local business attorney review your lease and give you a comprehensive answer.
