Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Business Practices
I have not been paid by my employer and now he told me he may go bankrupt to avoid debt collectors and paying employees. Can this be done? I have proof he used company funds to personally buy big purchases and misused company funds. What can I do to get my pay?

I don't do any bankruptcy work. The best advice I can offer you is contact a local attorney who does. It is ringing a bell with me that wages owed to an employee either cannot be bankrupted against or have priority.
At any rate, many people threaten bankruptcy as a ploy to get people such as you off their back. Consider calling his potential bluff by suing him in small claims (magistrate) court, if your claim is under $15,000.00.
