Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

can a ceo term a secretary because of anger?

last wed. the ceo & myself (sec.) were having a meeting & everything i said, the ceo answer me in a rude way in front of an agent. as the meeting progressed, i suggested that i hire & train someone for my job & leave. ceo said, no, no,. later he went in a rage, yelling @ me saying, are you quitting, are you quitting? i felt forced due to his anger to say yes. he went off on me in front of all the other agents in the office & the businesses on both sides heard him b/c of his yelling! he said, get out, get out, get out now, we'll help you pack your shit, go, go, get out, he continue to rage like this while i was getting my purse and leaving. i was walking down the hall to go to my truck, he was still yelling, call & get somebody over here now to change these locks! Everyone outside just starring @ me! locks were changed immediately, his wife came over & packed my belongings, & i still have not got all my belongings. can he do this to a shareholder? I ran that business since feb. 06, the ceo never stepped his big toe in that office and would not answer his phone to help with situation i was not familiar with, i solved all problems & make the best decision i could. numerous people can verify this. he gave 49% interest to an agent!

To add to what Mr. Riddle wrote, your position as secretary and your status as a shareholder are two separate positions. In other words, you may be fired as an officer, but it will not affect your ownership and vice versa.

Without getting into the details of an argument, employment in Georgia is generally at will - you can be fired for any reason or no reason (but for things apparently not relevant here). No idea what "giving 49% interest to an agent" is supposed to mean. Of course, you are entitled to your personal belongings.
