Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
I am a certified, personal trainer, in Georgia, and my personal trainer's insurance just expired. I have everyone sign a waiver, before exercising with me. I do not have a business license. If I get a business license with LLC, do I still need to purchase seperate insurance? Do I need a buisness license and insurance?

As a franchise attorney I can say this. A waiver will never stand up if something happens and you're sued. An LLC may provide more insulation against potential liability. You should definitely have insurance. You also need to comply with all local business licensing requirements. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

Insurance is generally not required to operate a business. However, it may be a good idea. Incorporating or forming an LLC is also recommended. You are required to have a business license regardless of whether you are incorporated or not.
