Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Church operating a business

Can a church be part owner of a business? I thought that a non profit organization could not? I orginally started it off as a LLC could they attach themselves to my business without officially submitting that information to the county. How responsible am i for any debts or lawsuits that might occur.thanks

Re: Church operating a business

A church may be able to own a business depending on the facts, which we do not have. There is no way to answer any of your other questions as you provide no facts at all.

Yes. I don't understand the second and third part of your posting. A person or business cannot unilaterally decide to become an owner of a business. The co-founders or owners would have to agree.
