Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Civil Action for Corporation Debt
We received notice for civil action against a non-profit organization that lost its major funding. The corporation is trying to dissolve debt but does not have the resources to cover this complaint. If the director goes to state the case, what consequences could result? What should be presented at the hearing?

Re: Civil Action for Corporation Debt
No one here can possibly tell you what should be presented at a hearing or trial, since no one here has the first detail about the case. The consequences of not having a good defense are losing the case. Not having money is not a defense. Corporations generally must be represented by a lawyer.
