Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
I have been consigning with an online auction site for about a year. they have a minimum fee of $5 for non-pictured lots and $15 for pictured lots (which happens to be the minimum bids). they claim in their policy that all unsold lots will not be charged a fee, but they go in themselves and place minimum bids on all unsold lots just before the auction closes, so they can have the items themselves. in a year, j have never had unsold items returned or relisted. is this legal for them to do?

It depends on what the contract you have with them says. It sounds like they are bidding themselves, which is fine unless your contract says no. If that is a problem for you, you should not list with that auction.
