Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Corporate officer
I was named a corporate officer of a company on state filings without my knowledge. The company is now bankrupt and I found out about my name being used when the IRS contacted me. I have never worked for this company. I was a lien holder on a piece of property for a time. The owners are gone. Do I contact the state to rectify this? What are the legal ramifications?
