Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Corporation Name Change

I have a corporation with only me as a owner; no shareholders, no stock, etc, just me. I want to change the name, what legal red tape, if any, will I have to face if I change the name or will it only involve just filling amendment to the Article of Incorporation.

Re: Corporation Name Change

To legally change the name of a corporation, you have to file articles of amendment with the Secretary of State and publish notice of the change of name . Of course, there can be other issues accompanying a name change - contracts, licenses, etc.

If you would like to discuss any issues further, please feel free to contact my office. My contact information is below. Thank you.
