Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

DBA registration

I need to file a DBA in the state of georgia for a LLC of which I am a member. There are no forms on the Sec of State website and the county has no forms.

What information do I need to include in this filing?

Re: DBA registration

It sounds like you need to register your LLC to do business in the State of Georgia, and it is a relatively easy procedure. There is a link on the Sec. of State Website; www.georgiacorporations.org, down the left side of the page. It is listed as "Application for Certificate of Authority". Click that link and it will take you to a list of .pdf forms. Click on "Application for Certificate of Authority for Foreign Limited Liability Company" and print it out or fill it out online. Send it in with the filing fee and that should do it. Please give me a call if I can be of service in this or any other business matter. (404) 542-2261.

Re: DBA registration

You need to register the fictitious name with the superior court of the county in which the company is located. Each county has their own form to fill out/required information. Call or visit the superior court to find out what info they need.
