Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
default on a automatic withdrawal credit union home equity loan
I am wondering if my present employer could fire me if I defaulted on a credit union home equity loan that is automatically deducted from my paycheck twice a month. I work for a local airline that has credit union that was once an employee credit union and is now a community credit union. thanks

GA is a "hire and fire at will" state. Unless you have a contract, your employer can fire you for any reason. Having said that, there may some union contract which covers this. Consult with a local attorney.
