Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

I am the Entertainment Director at a small bar/honky-tonk. We have a max capacity of around 350 people, but we have been far away from that number for a while. I have been asked to try to draw a crowd back to our establishment, and one of my ideas is having a $10 buy in tournament for beer pong where the winner receives a cash prize. I need to know if it is legal to hold this tournament.?

You can assume that gambling for money is almost always going to be illegal. You might also check with your local Sheriff's Department to see what other laws or local ordinances you might be violating. In addition, since your post includes identifying information about you and your business, available for the world to see on google searches, you may have notified the local authorities they they need to keep an eye on your business.

It's probably not legal, and may cost you your liquor license or jail. And now that you posted on the internet the name of the business, where it (and uyour post) is completely public, expect that the state and local police will be watching you. When it happens, they'll know whom to arrest.
