forcing a buyout

My husband got into a partnership with his old boss and they opened a bar. My husband's name is on the liquor license and he is there 6 days a week. His partner is there on the weekends and drinks all the expensive liquor without paying, opens the pool table for free pool, and has people in the bar long after legal closing time. The partner is also selling liquor after hours. All of this is wrong and has been explained in detail to the partner who still refuses to do things the ''right way''. Is there anyway to force him to buy us out?

There should be some type of partnership agreement that would dictate what should happen. Otherwise, I would suggest trying to negotiate a buy out price. You could also possibly dissolve the partnership due to his breach and sue for damages.

Your issue is far beyond this forum. No one can guess what kind of "partnership" (if it is a partnership), what the documents say, etc. See a lawyer who handles business disputes.
