In georgia can you buy a car in someone else's name eg I qualify for the loan but the car is titled in my girlfriend's name?

In addition to being an absolutely horrible idea to begin with, that plan will certainly violate the loan documents.

In addition to Scott's answer, which is a significant reason not to, when things go sour with your girlfriend, she can take "your" car as it is hers but you could be sued for payment.
