Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Hired contractor owes money on a job we gave him
If we allow a contractor to do a job and they do not pay their materials or their worker (contractors) can we pay their people from the money we owe them? Such as a joint check? We are afraid a lien will be takin out on the property they worked on.

Absent an agreement to the contrary, it is wise to joint check your contractor.
