I have a small janitorial business and need to know if i would be better off to form an llc or inc.

Generally, yes, you will be better off incorporating as an LLC or S-corp. Of course, every business is different, but from a legal stand point, you get no limited liability protection if you are a sole proprietorship or partnership. This means that your personal assets would be at risk if someone sued you or a creditor was collecting a debt.
