Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Greetings. I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and recently retired officer from the military. I have extensive experience treating soldiers with mental health issues including PTSD and other problems arising from multiple combat tours. I would like to start an internet business featuring online chat groups for people suffering from PTSD and other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Also, I would like to provide online support groups for family members who don't understand what these individuals are going through and help them understand and be able to better support their loved one.

My question is: can I do this legally? Can I charge a small fee to enter the chat and participate? Would I need malpractice insurance since I am not really practicing in an office or professional environment representing an official facility such as a clinic or hospital? I have recieved very positive feedback from former patients who would like this format very much.

Depending on the exact definition of your licensed practice (i.e. what constitutes practicing your licensed trade), you would need to follow any required guidelines including insurance coverages. From a legal or business standpoint, you may certainly charge for your services.
