Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Joint Business
If you were in business with someone and he owned 51% and he quit working in the business and went to work for someone else and left you in a bind and you were not able to complete jobs ontime, then the business was dissolved, money still owed and he sold the equipment for less than it was worth, can he sue you for the remaining debt?

Re: Joint Business
Anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone else at anytime. Whether the claim has any basis is a different issue. And whether your former partner would have a good basis for a claim would depend on the facts. From the facts you provided, it sounds like it would not be a smart idea for him to file suit due his actions. Of course, all of the facts would need to be considered before I could give you a comprehensive answer.
